  1. Oh I really love that statement “nothing grows in the comfort zone”! 🙂 I have finally figured out that if you play with a snake you sometimes get bit…… from now on I must be on high alert for the hidden inner snake people hide inside themselves!
Life’s lessons are so difficult and sad sometimes 😦 but Thank God for the sense of humor he throws in the middle of the lessons. I have also learned to be on high alert for the funny side in a mess ! Thank you so much for your blog and wisdom!

Nothing grows in the comfort zone is such a powerful statement and so true. It’s only when you stretch and reach outside your world that you experience true growth.

Learning is ongoing. The more you know the less you know (I realized this while studying more and more math and stats.).

  4. “When we learn something new we have to admit . . .” Yep – one of the biggest stumbling blocks to lifelong learning, in my experience. We’ve grown attached to feeling like we KNOW what we know – highly resistant to stepping into the “not knowing” zone.

Even when I have pointed it out to my [adult] students – even repeatedly – it still comes up practically every time people are up against one of their biases. My shorthand is “hitting the wall.” (not that it helps much). 🙂
